GTAAN Summer Symposium 2018
The GTAAN Summer Symposium is an opportunity for Georgia Tech advisors and student service professionals to spend a day on professional development and networking. On even numbered years, we convene in June to focus on a specific topic of special interest to Georgia Tech.
The 2018 Symposium will focus on “Taking Care of Business: Centering Your Practice” and will feature keynote speaker Charlie Nutt, Executive Director of NACADA. In addition to the keynote address, the Symposium will include an advising roundtable, advisor panel, an interactive workshop, and a networking lunch.
This year we are delving into what makes us great advisors: what philosophies guide your work with students, what are the different styles and techniques we can add to our advising toolboxes, and how might we grow as professionals? This is a great opportunity to share your expertise, learn and grow as professional advisors, and mentor new advisors.
Visit the “Keynote" & "Program” sections for more details. Once you’re ready to register for the Summer Symposium, visit the “Registration” section. Registration is FREE, and breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided.
We look forward to seeing you there!
